    Country Manager – Japan

    BettingJobs is working with an online bookmaker with a long history of changing the landscape of the sports betting and gaming industry through its integrity, high level of customer satisfaction, and revered risk management. They are seeking a Country Manager – Japan to join their team.

    Responsibilities:

    • Ownership of the Japanese marketing strategy and business performance.
    • Delivering financial KPI’s
    • Ownership of the Japanese market expansion roadmap and market access timeliness.
    • Scope out product and platform requirements for new Japanese market opportunities followed by continuous improvement and innovation.
    • Work closely with the affiliates in order to improve the acquisition and retentions numbers.
    • Communicate as needed to key departments within the business – Customer Service, Affiliate Marketing, Content, Design, Legal, Product, BI departments and rest of the CM.
    • Regular communication and reporting business performance against target KPIs.
    • Work closely with Business Intelligence function to evaluate business performance.
    • Pinpoint the payment provision and processing requirements for new markets, working closely with the payments team to drive solutions.
    • Stay informed with the latest market and industry developments. Maintain awareness of all pertinent regulations and cultivate strong relationships with third parties to ensure ongoing compliance and collaboration.

    Requirements:

    • A minimum of 5+ years’ exposure to betting and gaming and its global environment.
    • A minimum 3+ years’ record of accomplishment of working in betting within the Japanese market and therefore knowledgeable about this market.
    • Excellent communication skills in English and Japanese.
    • Budget-management proficiency.
    • Analytical skills to assess new Japanese market opportunities, existing deals, forecast, and identify trends.
    • Strong presentation skills and ability to convey strategic plans across different levels of the organisation.
    • Experience representing a well-established brand.
