BettingJobs is currently recruiting for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer based in Malta for a leading operator.

Responsibilities:

• Work with multiple teams to design, implement, optimise, and maintain solutions
• Update existing documentation and create new documentation when required
• Manage and configure infrastructure services spanning multiple Datacentres
• Innovate and automate processes where possible
• Perform BAU tasks such as firewall rule management, backups, VM builds, patching, and technical troubleshooting
• Lead and/or support projects impacting the business
• Address vulnerabilities reported by external penetration testing partners
• Attend SOC meetings.
• Act on alerts raised by our Firstline Team and monitoring systems.
• When required work after normal business hours (maintenance)
• Part of the on-call rota (Mon-sun)

Requirements:

• 4+ years’ experience in a similar role
• 5+ years’ experience working in an enterprise environment.
• Excellent knowledge of enterprise IT infrastructure.

Essential Experience:

• Hypervisors (VMware, Proxmox)
• Microsoft Windows Server (2019, 2022)
• Excellent understanding of networking (ACL, NAT, VPN)
• Previous Experience in using Backup products
• Storage (Dell EMC Unity, HPE Nimble, Dell Powerstore)
• Server Hardware (Installation, Configuration, iLO,iDrac)
• Active Directory
• Office 365 administration

Desirable Skills:

• Azure Cloud technologies
• Intune
• Monitoring systems (Vrops, Grafana, Nagios)
• Firewalls (Cisco, Meraki)
• Switches (Cisco, Meraki)
• Linux Systems Administration (Debian, Ubuntu)
• Automation (Terraform, Ansible)
• RDS
• Knowledge of Business processes (ITIL)
• Working with different regulatory requirements (e.g. PCI)
