    Desktop Support Engineer

    BettingJobs is partnering with a leading provider of cutting-edge gambling software solutions in their search for a Desktop Support Engineer to join their team in Malta.

    Responsibilities:

    • Respond promptly to incoming support requests via various channels (phone, email, ticketing system).
    • Accurately log and categorize incidents to facilitate efficient resolution.
    • Prioritise and manage multiple support requests simultaneously.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of hardware and software issues, including:
    • Operating system installations and upgrades (Windows, macOS)
    • Application installations and configurations
    • Network connectivity problems
    • Printer and peripheral device issues
    • Provide clear and concise explanations of technical issues to non-technical users.
    • Deploy and configure new desktop systems and laptops according to company standards.
    • Ensure systems are properly imaged, configured, and secure.
    • Conduct training sessions on new software and hardware as needed.
    • Create and maintain user documentation and knowledge base articles.
    • Maintain accurate inventory records of hardware and software assets.
    • Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely replacement of faulty equipment.

    Requirements:

    • Strong understanding of desktop operating systems (Windows, macOS) and software applications.
    • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Customer-oriented approach with a focus on providing excellent support.
    • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician) are preferred.
