BettingJobs is excited to be working with an established iGaming company based in Malta who are seeking a Corporate Compliance Officer to join their team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining compliance policies, overseeing regulatory reporting, and providing support in risk management and internal audits.
The Corporate Compliance Officer role is best suited to an individual who has experience in a Compliance related role in the iGaming industry, with a strong understanding of MGA regulations, AML, GDPR, and responsible gaming policies.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and ensure compliance with MGA (Malta Gaming Authority) and other jurisdictions regulations, AML (Anti-Money Laundering) requirements, GDPR, and other applicable laws.
- Maintain and update internal compliance procedures to reflect changes in legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in handling regulatory audits, inspections, reporting obligations and risk assessments.
- Ensure responsible gaming policies are adhered to and implemented across the business.
- Prepare and submit regulatory reports to the MGA and other governing bodies as required.
- Investigate and escalate compliance issues, breaches, and suspicious activities.
- Provide compliance training and guidance to employees, ensuring awareness of regulatory responsibilities.
- Act as the primary point of contact for compliance-related inquiries and regulatory matters across departments.
- Assist in obtaining and maintaining gaming licenses in different jurisdictions.
- Support the MLRO (Money Laundering Reporting Officer) in AML/CFT compliance, including transaction monitoring and reporting suspicious activities.
- Ensure KYC (Know Your Customer) and EDD (Enhanced Due Diligence) procedures are implemented effectively.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus.
- 2-3 years of experience in a compliance role within the iGaming industry.
- Strong understanding of MGA regulations, AML, GDPR, and responsible gaming policies.
- Experience with regulatory reporting and audits in a corporate environment.
- Ability to analyse complex regulations and implement practical solutions.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and compliance monitoring tools.
- Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).
- ICA (International Compliance Association) or equivalent compliance certification would be an advantage.
- Experience working with RegTech (Regulatory Technology) solutions.
