BettingJobs are working with a private equity group in London who own several iGaming companies across the globe.
They are looking for a Commercial and Strategy Director who will play a pivotal role in supporting their iGaming private equity portfolio and growth strategy. This includes evaluating new opportunities, enhancing value in existing investments, and acting as a strategic partner between the business and their portfolio companies to ensure alignment, effective relationships and shared success.
Key responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the iGaming PE team to assess strategic investments within the technology and iGaming portfolio.
- Utilise your strong network of iGaming contacts to generate opportunities for the portfolio businesses.
- Develop new business initiatives with both new and existing clients to diversify and grow revenue streams.
- Conduct business planning and synergy assessments in support of potential acquisitions.
- Review and optimise current product offerings to ensure maximum return to the business.
- Act as the primary point of contact for the business’ technology investors and represent the business at industry-specific iGaming events.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with industry leaders to support future M&A prospects.
- Understand and track the key metrics necessary for each portfolio company to be well positioned for sale or merger.
- Deliver comprehensive market insights, including competitor analysis and trends within the sector.
- Operate as a trusted shareholder advisor to leadership teams within portfolio companies, providing deep domain expertise to challenge, validate, and refine business strategies.
Requirements:
- Experience and in-depth expertise in iGaming and tech platforms, with a proven ability to drive operational performance and value creation.
- Strong commercial acumen with an extensive iGaming contact network.
- Deep understanding of the iGaming industry – trends, products, and opportunities.
- Excellent strategy experience and track record.
- Understanding of required operations and key metrics to take a business through to sale.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on relationship development and trust-building.
- Ability to present analysis and insights to key stakeholders.
- A strong understanding of operations and the required growth to exit over five years.
- M&A background.
