BettingJobs is thrilled to collaborate with our client, a prominent online bookmaker known for transforming the sports betting and gaming industry, in their search for a Trading Systems Specialist to join their team in Malta.

Responsibilities:

• Continuously monitor trading systems to ensure stability, especially during critical hours and major sporting events.
• Collaborate with Trading, Development, and R&D teams to launch new products based on business needs.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues, escalating complex problems when necessary.
• Conduct root cause analysis for system failures and implement preventative measures.
• Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to system health and product integration success.
• Use monitoring tools (Grafana, Splunk, ELK) to address performance anomalies.
• Support system scalability to handle increased transaction volumes and new products.
• Document system configurations and processes for internal use.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Computer Science, IT, Economics, or related field.
• Experience with ticketing systems like JIRA or Zendesk.
• Professional background in Sports Betting or Trading.
• SQL knowledge for querying data, troubleshooting, and optimizing performance.
• Familiarity with Splunk, ELK, and Grafana is a plus.
• Basic scripting (Python, Shell) is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in system performance.
• Effective communication and coordination between teams.
• Adaptability to changing priorities and business needs.
• Ability to prioritize tasks based on urgency and impact.
• Initiative to work independently and in teams.
