BettingJobs is seeking a talented Trader (Rugby) with a passion for sports and statistics to join our client’s expert team in Malta.

Responsibilities:

• Pre-event and in-play trading for rugby and other sports when required.
• Manage liabilities and risk for UK sports and a variety of betting markets.
• Deliver a leading betting product for both regulated and non-regulated European markets.
• Execute, study, and refine trading strategies.
• Compile odds for specials, novelty, and standard markets.
• Enhance and understand automated trading systems.
• Research and analyse trading performance.
• Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, VIP, customer service).
• Settle markets promptly and accurately.
• Monitor customer activity and report to Client Risk Management.
• Handle technical, settlement, or other trading-related issues.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of sports trading experience (essential).
• Strong knowledge of rugby (particularly French leagues) and rugby betting markets.
• Understanding of fixed odds, betting exchanges, and betting principles.
• Experience with odds compilation for specials and novelty markets.
• Familiarity with 3rd-party trading providers.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and statistical skills.
• Organized and able to multitask.
• Strong English communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel).
• Detail-oriented, able to think clearly under pressure.
• Team player with the ability to work independently.
• Passion for sports betting and willingness to work unsociable hours based on the sporting calendar.
