BettingJobs are currently recruiting for a Trading Analyst for a leading sportsbook in their San Jose, Costa Rica office. The Trading Analyst will be responsible for testing and refining sports betting models, ultimately increasing the performance of the sportsbook.

This role would be well suited to an experienced sports trading professional, with excellent analytical skills and experience in helping refine and develop sports betting models

Responsibilities:

• Helping to develop betting models for new sports and markets
• Testing models pre- and post-deployment
• Assess models against the functionality of competitors
• Proactively suggesting new markets and products
• Working with big data to perform retrospective analysis of the accuracy of pricing models, and suggesting and implementing improvements

Requirements:

• Degree educated in a numerate subject. A postgraduate qualification would be an advantage.
• Significant experience in a sports trading environment
• Experience in using and developing betting models
• Understanding of betting methodology and general bookmaking principles.
