BettingJobs is thrilled to collaborate with our client, a prominent online bookmaker known for transforming the sports betting and gaming industry, in their search for a Risk Data & Analytics Specialist to join their team.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement risk models using programming languages (R / SQL), or other statistical tools to assess exposure and predict risk trends.
• Collect, clean, and analyse large datasets to identify key risk indicators and anomalies.
• Create automated reports and dashboards using R Shiny to track risk metrics and present findings.
• Conduct statistical simulations, scenario analyses, and stress testing to support risk mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with sportsbook, casino, finance and operations team, to ensure effective risk monitoring and reporting.
• Support the development of machine learning models for predictive risk assessment.
• Continuously improve risk assessment processes by implementing advanced analytical techniques.
• Work on ad-hoc analytical projects to support senior leadership in risk-related decision-making.

Requirements:

• Strong programming skills in R (R Studio) and SQL for data manipulation and modelling.
• Expertise in statistical analysis, data visualization, and predictive modelling techniques.
• Ability to develop and interpret risk dashboards and reports in tools like R Shiny.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data into actionable insights.
• Strong communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Knowledge of financial risk and operational risk is preferred.
• Experience in automation and process optimization for risk assessment is a plus.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in data science, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in a risk analysis, data analytics, or quantitative research role.
• Hands-on experience with R Studio, Python, SQL, and data science libraries such as dplyr, ggplot2, tidyverse, scikit-learn, or pandas.
• Prior experience in financial services, eGaming (sportsbook and casino) is a plus.
