BettingJobs is partnering with a fast-growing start-up based in St. Julian’s, Malta, as they search to find a Payments Specialist to join their team on a hybrid basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day payment operations, assisting in the integration of new payment methods, monitoring transaction flows, resolving issues, and ensuring optimal performance and compliance across all markets.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and analyse payment performance, success rates, and processing issues across PSPs (Payment Service Providers).
• Troubleshoot transaction errors, declines, and reconciliation issues, working closely with Finance, Fraud, and Support teams.
• Assist in testing new payment methods and providers, ensuring alignment with business goals and market needs.
• Collaborate with product and tech teams during integration, UAT (user acceptance testing), and post-launch monitoring.
• Helping to track SLAs and escalate issues as needed.
• Generate reports on key payment KPIs such as approval rates,
• Proactively identify inefficiencies and suggest improvements to drive conversion and reduce payment friction.

Requirements:

• 2+ years in a payment’s operations, payments product, role within iGaming, fintech, e-commerce, or online services.
• Solid understanding of payment ecosystems (cards, wallets, bank transfers, crypto, APMs).
• Experience working with PSP dashboards, and back-office systems.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, and data-driven environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Team player who can work cross-functionally with tech, finance, fraud, and customer support
