    Head of Commercial

    BettingJobs is working with a rapid growth alternative payments provider seeking to expand their team with an experienced and well-connected Head of Commercial based in Malta.

    This role will be managing the day-to-day operations of the commercial teams while leading the targeting and onboarding of high-value clients. Past experience in Fintech/ Banking/ iGaming is essential.

    Responsibilities

    • Execute the company’s commercial strategy, aligning with sales goals and market trends.
    • Identify growth opportunities in new and existing markets with varied risk levels, driving the adoption of alternative payment solutions.
    • Collaborate with the executive team to shape business strategy and product roadmaps.
    • Lead initiatives to drive customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth.
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and take corrective actions to achieve revenue targets.
    • Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with banks, payment service providers, and key ecosystem players.
    • Build, manage, and inspire a high-performing commercial team, including sales, business development, and partnerships.

    Required Experience

    • Proven track record of success in a senior commercial role within fintech, payments or traditional banking.
    • Extensive experience in alternative payments, digital wallets, BNPL, or other innovative payment models.
    • Proven people management experience of 3+ years, the ability to act as an idealised leader is essential for growth.
    • Strong background in scaling revenue and leading multi-regional or global teams.
    • Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
    • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
    • Deep understanding of fintech products, payment ecosystems, and market dynamics.
    • Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence at all levels of the organization.
