    General Manager

    BettingJobs are working with a new brand launching in Nigeria, this is a senior level role which will help set-up and run their operation in Lagos. They are looking for a General Manager to join their team based in Lagos.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our business operations in Nigeria, including market strategy, regulatory compliance, marketing, customer acquisition, and team management.

    Responsibilities:

    • Execute the market entry strategy for Nigeria.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow market share.
    • Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to inform strategic decisions.
    • Ensure full compliance with Nigerian laws and regulations governing online betting.
    • Maintain relationships with regulatory authorities and manage the licensing process.
    • Develop and implement effective marketing campaigns to attract and retain customers.
    • Establish partnerships with local influencers, media, and sports organizations.
    • Monitor and optimize customer acquisition costs (CAC) and lifetime value (LTV).
    • Oversee daily operations, including customer service, payment processing, and technical support.
    • Recruit, train, and manage a local team to support business operations.
    • Set performance targets and ensure the team meets business objectives.
    • Manage the P&L for Nigeria, ensuring profitability and cost control.
    • Prepare and present regular financial and operational reports to the executive team.

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior management role, ideally within the betting/gaming industry. Minimum of 3 years experience in the betting/gaming industry
    • Proven track record of successfully managing operations in Nigeria or similar markets.
    • Strong understanding of the Nigerian regulatory environment for online betting.
    • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
    • Strategic thinking with the ability to drive growth in a competitive market.
    • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
    • Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of local languages is an advantage.
    • French speaking is a plus
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
