BettingJobs is working with a client, that have recently been awarded and successfully launched the national lottery in the UAE. They are now seeking to appoint a Director of Security.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies, policies, and protocols to safeguard the lottery’s operations.
• Ensure compliance with national and international regulatory standards governing gaming and lottery security.
• Oversee fraud prevention programs and conduct investigations into security breaches, suspicious activities, or misconduct.
• Manage and enhance cybersecurity measures to protect digital assets, customer data, and online gaming platforms.
• Implement advanced surveillance and monitoring systems to ensure the security of lottery facilities, equipment, and personnel.
• Collaborate with government agencies, law enforcement, and regulators to address security threats and legal requirements.
• Conduct regular security risk assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement mitigation strategies.
• Lead crisis management and incident response efforts in cases of security breaches or operational threats.
• Establish and oversee a security team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
• Develop awareness programs to educate employees on security policies, fraud prevention, and compliance measures.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Risk Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in security management, preferably in gaming, financial services, or a regulated industry.
• Proven track record in fraud prevention, cybersecurity, and physical security management.
• Experience working with regulatory agencies and law enforcement bodies.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and crisis management skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Relevant security certifications (CISSP, CPP, CISM, or equivalent) are a plus.
