BettingJobs is partnering with a leading online casino operator in their search for a Director of Payments to join their team in Dubai.
Responsibilities:
Define and deliver a Payments Strategy for i-gaming across fiat and crypto.
Lead a specialist core team (supplier selection, fraud prevention, strategy) and direct an operational team (reconciliations, escalations, player support).
Build and maintain a Payments Risk Framework reflecting grey markets, high volumes, and crypto volatility.
Act as the payments voice at leadership level, advising CEO/CFO on risks, opportunities, and performance.
Own all commercial negotiations with PSPs, banks, card schemes, and crypto partners—securing optimal terms on fees, MDRs, reserves, and settlement times.
Build and manage a diversified provider portfolio for resilience and coverage, tracking capacity, costs, and settlement flows.
Conduct quarterly CEO/CFO reviews on commercial efficiency and cost optimisation.
Ensure seamless player deposit/withdrawal experiences, with high acceptance and fast turnaround.
Oversee reconciliations across fiat PSPs and crypto wallets, with timely reporting.
Strengthen chargeback and dispute handling, reducing exposure and improving recovery.
Provide an escalation channel for CS, VIP, Ops, and IT; optimise routing across channels for cost, acceptance, and speed.
Expand fraud protection to 24/7 coverage reflecting i-gaming behaviour.
Maintain a Payments Risk Register, monitoring reserves, settlements, and anomalies for rapid resolution.
Recruit and develop leadership and support teams; define KPIs/SLAs across deposits, withdrawals, fraud, chargebacks, and escalations.
Establish succession plans and drive automation/continuous improvement to enhance speed and reduce manual work.
Requirements:
Proven success in direct commercial negotiations with PSPs, banks, and crypto providers.
Deep understanding of i-gaming payments in grey markets, high-volume processing, and fast withdrawals.
Expertise in fiat PSPs, card schemes, and crypto/blockchain payments.
Strong fraud prevention, chargeback, and revenue protection expertise.
Analytical, data-driven, able to optimise routing and spot trends.
Experienced in leading both specialist and operational teams.
Effective communicator, confident with CEO/CFO/Board.
10+ years in i-gaming payments, 5+ years in senior leadership.
Hands-on with both fiat and crypto channels; proven success in grey-market operations.
Strong track record of building/leading payments teams and negotiating provider agreements.
