    Country Lead – French Market

    BettingJobs are seeking an experienced Country Lead to lead operations for the French market on behalf of a leading global betting and gaming group, based in their Malta office.

    Responsibilities:

    • Own full P&L for France, defining market strategy, goals, and commercial plans across all verticals.
    • Develop and execute plans across Promotions, Marketing, CX, Product, and Content to deliver revenue, profitability, and growth targets.
    • Allocate resources effectively, using market insight, analytics, and performance trends to guide decisions.
    • Lead budgeting, forecasting, KPI setting, and financial planning for the country.
    • Drive customer acquisition, CVM, retention, and promotional effectiveness, ensuring optimized customer journeys and localized content/UX.
    • Coordinate cross-functional teams (Product, Marketing, Acquisition, CVM, Customer Care, Compliance) to deliver integrated, high-impact execution.
    • Manage and grow key accounts through tailored plans, proactive service, and strong commercial relationships.
    • Build and lead a high-performing country leadership team; nurture talent, succession, and a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
    • Ensure full compliance with iGaming regulations; maintain strong relationships with regulators, partners, affiliates, and other external stakeholders.
    • Champion responsible gaming and player protection, embedding customer wellbeing into operations.
    • Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities, leading local go-to-market and customer-centric growth strategies.

    Requirements:

    • Extensive leadership experience, ideally as a Director, GM, or similar role within the iGaming industry.
    • Experience in managing country-specific operations with a focus on Poker, Sports, and Casino.
    • Strong business acumen, with a proven track record of driving profitability and scaling operations.
    • Exceptional analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
    • Ability to develop and execute a comprehensive country strategy that aligns with regional and corporate goals.
    • Exceptional people management skills, with experience leading and mentoring senior teams.
    • Strong stakeholder management abilities, with the capacity to influence at all levels.
    • Excellent negotiation and communication skills in English and the local language.
    • Experience navigating highly regulated markets and ensuring strict adherence to local laws.
    • Ability to travel within the region as required.
