BettingJobs is working with a SaaS provider to the online casino industry with employees based in Canada, Panama, Costa Rica, and Europe. The company is seeking to make senior appointments, including a Chief Technology Officer, to join their team in Canada.

Responsibilities:

• Define and implement a long-term technology roadmap aligned with business goals.
• Identify and apply emerging technologies to maintain competitive advantage.
• Collaborate with executive leadership on product innovation and growth initiatives.
• Oversee ongoing development of an online casino platform, including frontend, backend, APIs, and mobile applications.
• Drive innovation in core platform components such as CRM, CMS, bonus tools, data architecture, e-comm architecture, reporting/analytics etc.
• Ensure that platform performance, uptime, and responsiveness meet industry standards.
• Implement robust security measures to protect player data, prevent fraud, and support responsible gaming.
• Ensure systems comply with gaming regulations.
• Manage technical audits, certifications, and IT governance.
• Build, manage, and mentor high-performing DevOps teams.
• Promote an agile, collaborative, and innovation-driven culture.
• Oversee hiring, training, and performance management across tech functions.
• Manage integrations with game providers, payment gateways, KYC/AML services, and affiliate platforms.
• Evaluate and implement third-party tools and services to enhance platform functionality.
• Oversee the data architecture and analytics framework to support marketing, operations, and risk management.
• Enable real-time insights and reporting on player behaviour, retention and revenue.
• Build and manage a high-performing IT support team that delivers excellent user experience.
• Define and enforce SLAs for internal support, ensuring minimal downtime and rapid resolution.
• Implement tools and practices for monitoring, incident management, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 10-15 years of proven experience as a CTO or Senior Technical Leader in iGaming.
• Deep understanding of casino platforms, RNG mechanics, and gaming aggregators.
• In-depth knowledge of:
  • Casino platforms, RNG, and live dealer systems
  • Cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Microservices architecture
  • High-traffic, real-time systems
  • Databases (SQL, NoSQL)
  • DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and licensing.
• Hands-on background in software engineering and system architecture.
• Excellent leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Experience with Crypto casinos or Web3 (a plus).
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Passion for gaming and innovation.
• Experience scaling high-traffic, real-time application.
• Global perspective with experience operating multi-jurisdictional markets.
