BettingJobs is working with a tier 1 provider within the iGaming industry who are looking for an experienced Chief Financial Officer to join their team based in Portugal or Malta.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate financial performance, align with operational goals, and ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
• Lead the Finance Department, manage profitability, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
• Oversee cash flow, treasury management, and ensure liquidity.
• Develop best-practice policies, manage risks, and propose mitigation strategies.
• Provide strategic financial advice to senior management, maintain compliance with laws and regulations, and manage relationships with auditors, banks, and regulators.
• Analyse operations to identify cost reductions and process improvements.
• Propose strategies to optimise tax liabilities across jurisdictions.

Requirements:

• Senior financial management experience in the iGaming industry, preferably in startups or mid-sized companies.
• Proven expertise in scaling financial operations in fast-growth environments.
• Bachelor’s degree (MBA or equivalent preferred) and professional certifications (CPA, CFA, etc.).
• Deep knowledge of financial modeling, accounting standards, tax laws, and iGaming regulations.
• Proficiency in financial software, with strong analytical and communication skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, experience in international finance, and ability to handle high-pressure decision-making.
• Fluency in English and French.
