BettingJobs is currently working an established iGaming company based in Malta who are looking for an Accountant to join their team. In this role you will work with the rest of the team to ensure the smooth running of the company’s Finance department.

The Accountant role would be well suited to a recent graduate who is eager to develop their Accountancy skills and establish a career in the iGaming industry.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure that periodic reconciliations are completed in a timely manner.
• Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries.
• Purchase ledger and sales ledger postings.
• Maintain an orderly accounting filing system.
• Timely completion of various month end recs as agreed with your superior.
• Affiliate posting and reconciliation.
• FX Rates daily upload.
• Overview of work done by the AP and Junior Accountant.
• Timely submissions of Vat and other relevant documents.
• Other bookkeeping duties may be required for the completion of the month-end process.
• Daily & end of month internal reporting requirements.
• Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
• Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions.
• Supporting with period end reconciliations of intercompany accounts, salary reconciliations, Vat reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, gaming related reconciliations and transfer pricing exercise.
• Review and approve the accruals and prepayments list.
• Improve and automate existing manual processes by developing new excel schedules in line with the needs of the finance department.
• Extract TBs for all the entities and reconcile any differences.

Requirements:

• Holder of an A Level in Accounting done locally with the Matsec Examinations Board.
• Initial stages of ACCA after completing the A level in accounting is considered an asset.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills.
• Ability to work well both independently and with a team.
• No previous experience is required, on the job training will be given to the right candidate.
