As we enter the final weeks of 2023, there is no better time than now for us to reflect on the milestone year in which we celebrated our company 20-year anniversary and achieved various noteworthy accomplishments.
The year started off with a bang for BettingJobs, as we exhibited once again at ICE365 London. As always, the event was a huge success, and we can’t wait to reconnect with familiar faces in just over a month’s time at the 2024 show, where we will be located at stand S1-201. Come by and say hi to our expert team who will be delighted to speak with you about all things iGaming and recruitment.
Throughout the year, we successfully exhibited at and attended numerous highly respected international iGaming conferences, including Brazilian iGaming Summit – São Paulo, iGB Live! – Amsterdam, SBC Summit – Barcelona, SBC Summit Latinoamérica – Miami, and SiGMA World Europe – Malta. As we operate on a truly global basis, it is a priority for our team members to travel regularly across the world to meet with our valued candidates and clients.
In February, we launched ‘BettingJobs News’ on LinkedIn, the monthly newsletter you are now reading, which has gained more than 30,000 subscribers. The aim of BettingJobs News is to provide expert insights into the iGaming industry, covering a range of topics from our own placement data to specialist takes on current industry affairs. In October, we were also excited to hit a milestone of 100,000+ followers on LinkedIn.
Earlier this year, Carla Souter from our senior team was shortlisted for the ‘Outstanding Mentor’ title at the prestigious Women in Gaming Diversity Awards. BettingJobs was also delighted to be shortlisted for ‘Recruiter of The Year’ at the highly acclaimed EGR Global B2B Awards, and for the ‘B2B Excellence Award (Companies)’ at the Women in Gaming Diversity Awards. We were thrilled to receive ‘The Matchmaker’ title at the first Betsmart Consulting Awards in December 2023, and recently discovered we have been shortlisted in the ‘Services Provider of The Year’ category at the 2024 Global Gaming Awards.
Conducting a full company rebrand earlier this year was a huge achievement for us. As 2023 marked our official 20-year anniversary, we recognised it was the perfect time to give our branding its first refresh since incorporation in 2003. We unveiled our shiny new logo at the Brazilian iGaming Summit in São Paulo back in June.
To cope with strong growth and demand, we grew our team by 20%, adding new talented individuals to our Glasgow headquarters. It has been an excellent start for our new team members, who have already began paving their way to success in the iGaming industry. We were encouraged to observe an increase in Executive & Senior Appointments placements. Not only this, but it has been thrilling to see a threefold increase in the number of women placed in Executive & Senior Appointments roles. In a recent LinkedIn survey we conducted, 22% of respondents stated that seeing a higher amount of females in C-Level roles would motivate more women to enter the iGaming industry. Being strong advocates for the work done by outstanding organisations such as All-in Diversity Project and the Women in Gaming community, witnessing a rise in the number of females placed in Executive and Senior Appointments roles has been a great achievement and this further echoes our drive and commitment to increasing equality and representation of women within the iGaming industry.
It was a joy to celebrate our official company 20th Anniversary at the beginning of December, bringing a perfect end to this special year. It was an unforgettable evening, and we made memories that will last a lifetime!
