BettingJobs is working with a SaaS provider to the online casino industry with employees based in Panama, Costa Rica, and Europe. The company is seeking to make senior appointments, including a Chief of Payments.

Responsibilities:

• Define and lead global payments strategy, ensuring secure, efficient, and scalable transactions for deposits, withdrawals, and gameplay.
• Manage relationships with PSPs, banks, and regulators while ensuring compliance with industry and regional financial regulations.
• Optimize payment systems and gateways, minimizing failures, integrating new methods (cards, wallets, crypto, bank transfers), and leveraging emerging technologies.
• Oversee fraud prevention, including real-time monitoring, bonus abuse detection, and risk profiling, collaborating with compliance, data, and fraud teams.
• Implement policies and tools to detect and prevent fraudulent activities (chargebacks, money laundering, abuse patterns).
• Partner with product, tech, and customer support to deliver seamless player experiences and resolve payment issues.
• Track and report on KPIs (success rates, volumes, fraud incidents, profitability) to executive leadership.
• Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing payments and fraud team, driving continuous improvement and innovation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field; advanced certifications a plus.
• 10+ years in payments/fintech/financial services with senior leadership experience, ideally in online gaming, gambling, or e-commerce.
• Expertise in payment systems, fraud detection, risk management, and compliance (AML, KYC, PSD2, GDPR).
• Strong vendor and regulator management, negotiation, and partnership skills.
• Proven leadership in building and managing diverse, high-performing teams.
• Analytical, strategic thinker with data-driven decision-making skills.
• Customer-centric, innovative, and adaptable to evolving technologies and regulations.
• Strong financial acumen with experience optimizing costs and driving profitability.
