BettingJobs is working with a leading provider of Real-time live streaming services who are seeking a skilled Senior Backend Developer to join their team based remotely.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain the nanoStream Cloud / bintu backend to ensure stability, scalability, and performance.
• Enhance and expand the bintu API, which facilitates stream management for nanoStream Cloud and CDN.
• Able to pick up ideas or suggest improvements and innovations for the product and workflows
• work closely with other teams, sales, marketing, management, support with a focus on customer and business success
• Lead and mentor a team of developers, promoting collaboration and knowledge-sharing.
• Work closely with DevOps teams to manage cloud-based infrastructure and ensure efficient deployment processes, with the goal of 100% uptime.
• Implement the best security practices to protect streams, users, and data integrity.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in fullstack web development JavaScript with a strong emphasis on scalable and high-performance applications.
• Leadership experience, co-working in agile teams, mentoring
• Strong expertise in backend technologies (primarily Node.js, optionally Go, Python).
• Strong proficiency in API development (REST APIs).
• Familiarity with authentication mechanisms and token security
• Experience with cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, DigitalOcean).
• Familiarity with database management (SQL, NoSQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills (German is a plus).
• Experience in close collaboration with agile teams

Nice to have:

• Experience working with live video/audio streaming, realtime interaction, chat
• Hands-on experience in microservices architecture and distributed systems.
• Knowledge of containerization & DevOps (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines).
• Passion for innovation and keeping up with new technologies in the streaming industry.
• Additional plus: experience with AI technologies
