Purpose of Job:
The main focus of the Japanese Brand & Country Manager role will be to create and build an online Japanese iGaming brand. The role will require setting up the brand from conceptualization, building the brand, creating acquisition and retention strategies in collaboration with the relevant teams, to on-going maintenance of the brand. The successful candidate will have continuous interaction directly with the Japanese market utilizing various channels such as affiliate marketing, email marketing, influencers. They will also engage and interact with the customer base.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities
The position will involve the following areas of responsibility:
To create a brand and concept will have longevity and sustained growth potential within the market through brand awareness and required localised communication areas.
Working with the Design Team to create and develop a brand and website via R&D efforts; Carry out regular and intensive competitor analysis and market research
Structuring a marketing and retention strategy using available marketing and communication channels, making use of relevant platforms and influencers to propel and grow the brand within the market.
Creating campaign tracks and promotions with internal teams.
Making use of existing plans and structures being able to brief insightful localised content for tracks, monthly campaigns and event opportunities.
Advising and facilitating efficient operations in the Japanese market
Overseeing the Japanese market and deliver results set within the deadline and budget targets
Website maintenance and continued development with trends across styling and promotional and building content.
Continuous research and implementation of trends and changes within the market across customer retention campaigns, welcome offers, promotions, game content requirements, social media presence. Continued monitoring of competitor behaviour and campaigns and how they are maintaining presence in the market.
A clear understanding and on-going knowledge of the regional legislation which needs to work its way across all touchpoints for the success of the brand. Changes that involve edits to the brands collateral is the responsibility of the candidate
Developing and implementing Acquisition strategy directed to the japanese market, this includes but not limited to creating a plan for opening up into the market, using affiliate, online and acquisition channels.
Developing and implementing Retention strategy directed to the japanese market
Identify, research and recruit new affiliates within the Japanese market with the scope of growing the market share, revenue and traffic
Negotiate new deals and affiliate contracts to meet revenue and growth targets and KPIs
Build key relationships with affiliates to allow for greatest reach across media channels
Effectively managing the on-going relationship with existing partners.
Ensure the brand is accurately represented on affiliate sites including the monitoring of reviews, trackers and creatives
Analyze campaigns and account performance in order to increase optimization while delivering departmental KPIs and overall ROI from the present portfolio. Also, recommend courses of action to correct any metrics where necessary
Analysing marketing deals and campaign activity against preset budgets and targets. Followed up by clear results and action points to refine existing areas of the marketing strategy
Plan / execute / analyze awareness improvement with regards to new customer acquisition and customer retention promotion, daily customer data analysis and reporting. Traffic guidance using SEO, Paid Search, Email marketing channels/
Strong communication with the customer base when required as well as creating lasting relationships and continuous communication with key VIP customers.
Understanding of the different teams involvement in the creation of a brand and able to work between them efficiently

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Japanese
Solid experience within a Japanese iGaming market
Experience in promotions creation across various channels using localised knowledge to constantly be relevant
Proficient in English – both written and spoken
High attention to detail
Proven planning and organisational skills
Able to translate and explain clearly the requirements needed to grow a Japanese Brand
Enjoys staying current on casino trends for continued knowledge and brand development and growth
Experience with Microsoft office programs such as Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Word
Experience with managing a Japanese brand
Existing relationships with key Japanese affiliates
Experience with Revenue share and CPA (Cost Per Action) payment models
Experience working as part of a global team
Desire and strong ability to immerse into brand development
Experience setting up and managing Social Media campaigns using, but not limited to, Twitter and YouTube
