Our client is looking for a Head of US Trading for their online sports betting product.

Job Summary – our client is looking to add to their Sports Betting team with a dedicated Head of Trading/Sr. Trader to plan, direct and manage the trading function and be a part of the strategy of the Sportsbook.

Key Responsibilities –

• The creation and implementation of the Sportsbook trading strategy
• Recruitment and management of the trading team
• Overlooking the performance of any outsourced trading activities
• Defining, monitoring and managing the Sportsbook KPIs
• Optimization of gross margin for the sports betting operation
• Working with the technical/software development teams to improve trading efficiency and automation
• Work closely with VP of Sports/Online Gaming and product team to develop and expand product range
• Maximizing profitability by effectively managing bet acceptance and customer profiling
• Deliver a comprehensive and profitable Sportsbook offering
• Other duties as assigned by Management

Skills/ Experience:

• A proven results driven leader who is passionate about Sports
• At least 5+ years Sportsbook trading management and leadership experience, at a senior level
• Numerate, with a strong mathematical background and a thorough understanding of bookmaking theory and sports betting
• Deep understanding of sport modelling / betting modelling
• Strong data & financial analytical skills combined with effective decision making capability in order to use data to drive decisions & business direction
• First class interpersonal skills with the ability to foster relationships with peers and senior management
• The demonstrable ability to deliver high quality work under pressure of tight deadlines
• Able to work on the move & ability to travel
