Betting Jobs are working with an exciting casino brand in Malta, seeking to hire an experienced Scrum Master as their operation continues to grow.

Role Summary:
The Scrum Master is a unique team member who enables teams to self-organise, self-manage, and deliver via effective Lean-Agile practices. He/She supports and enforces the Scrum process and other rules that the team has agreed upon. The Scrum Master also helps the team coordinate with other teams and communicates the status to Product Owners, other teams, and the management as needed. The Mission of the Scrum Master is to foster an environment for high-performing team dynamics, continuous flow, and relentless improvement.

Key Responsibilities:
Exhibiting the behaviours of a Lean-Agile Leader with a Lean-Agile Mindset
Helping the team embrace Agile Core Values, while adopting and applying Agile Principles and implementing Agile practices
Supporting the team rules: while the rules of an Agile Team are lightweight, they are rules nonetheless, and the Scrum Master is responsible for reinforcing them
Facilitating the team’s progress towards team goals. The Scrum Master is trained as a team facilitator and is continuously engaged in challenging the old norms of development to improve performance in the areas of quality, predictability, flow, and velocity. He/She will help the team focus on daily goals and Iteration Goals, in the context of current Program Increment (PI) Objectives
Being data-driven and having good metrics regarding the team performance, quality, progress, and predictability. He/She will see trends and deviations and make calls for action and discussion to improve things
Leading team efforts towards relentless improvement by helping the team improve and take responsibility for its actions, i.e. facilitating the team’s retrospective
Making sure the team celebrates success and learns from mistakes
Teaching problem-solving techniques and helping the team members become better problem-solvers for themselves
Facilitating all team meetings including, where applicable, the Daily Stand-up, Iteration Planning, Iteration Review, and Iteration Retrospective
Supporting the Product Owner and helping them in their efforts to manage backlog and guiding of the team, while also facilitating a healthy team dynamic with respect to priorities and scope
Eliminating impediments and blocking issues which are beyond the team’s authority or which require support from other teams. The Scrum Master actively addresses these issues so that the team can remain focused on achieving the objectives of the Iteration
Helping foster the culture of technical discipline and craftsmanship that is the hallmark of effective Agile teams
Building a high-performing team by focusing on ever-improving team dynamics and performance
Helping the team manage interpersonal conflicts, challenges, and opportunities for growth
Protecting and communicating with management and outside stakeholders, thus helping protect the team from uncontrolled expansion of work
Coordinating with other teams, as the Scrum Master is typically the representative in the Scrum of Scrums (SoS) meeting
Facilitating preparation and readiness for events by assisting the team; including PI Planning, System Demos, and the Inspect and Adapt
Supporting estimating and guiding the team in establishing normalised estimates, as well as helping the team understand how to estimate Features and Capabilities
