BettingJobs.com are currently seeking a Sportsbook Analyst for a market leading gaming company in their Leeds office. The Sportsbook Analyst will be responsible for providing detailed analysis of the Sportsbook performance and using the findings from analysis in order to further refine and develop the sportsbook offering.

This would be well suited an individual with a strong academic record and a detailed understanding of the sports betting industry, most likely gained working for a sportsbook but those with a strong personal interest in sports betting may also be considered.

Responsibilities:

• Be the analytical partner for the Sportsbook stakeholders, promoting data driven decision making
• Delivery of advanced analytical projects within a fast-moving environment
• Application of data to areas such as campaign analysis, ROI and A/B testing, focused on the Sportsbook
• Extracting and analysing very large and multi-dimensional data sets, working closely with internal units to drive insights and encourage more efficient and effective spend

Requirements:

• Relevant experience in an analyst function, preferably in gaming or IT sector
• A keen interest in sports
• Degree (or equivalent) in the quantitative areas or relevant experience gained in data analytics
• Ability to deliver high quality work under pressure of deadlines
• Ability to clearly communicate ideas and results to non-technical business people, both written and orally
• Ability to see the "big picture", evaluate the business impact of issues and prioritize among many requests
• Ability to turn complex concepts into actionable recommendations
• Proficiency in extracting and manipulating large datasets using SQL/ MicroStrategy (or similar)
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint etc.)
• Practical experience with statistical tools (SPSS, SAS, R, KNIME, other) would be beneficial
• Experience in data mining/ advanced analytics (clustering, regression, predictive models or similar) wold be advantageous
