Betting Jobs is currently looking for a Head of Customer Insight for a well-established and successful casino operator based in their Malta office. The Head of Customer Insight will be the Business Intelligence lead in the responsible for the BI delivery for the company's online and mobile casino and sports betting brands.

• Ongoing analysis to identify which areas of the business deliver greatest ROI both short & long term to allow constant operational and marketing optimisation
• Designing and implementing quality interactive reports, dashboards and push notifications
• Data warehouse skills (build conceptual data models and interpret data)
• BI – building KPI dashboards for Commercial, Marketing, MD & Ops teams
• Customer insight analysis
• Lifetime Value Reporting & Predictive Lifetime Value modelling across all customer segments including VIP
• Gaining a deep understanding of the data and the link between technical characteristics and source operational systems/ processes
• Determining appropriate data sources and the approach to blending data from disparate sources into robust, usable datasets
• Documenting the inner workings of reports and dashboards to enable upfront quality assurance and aid future improvements/modifications
• Contributing to the team’s quality assurance and best practice initiatives
• Promoting team awareness of innovative techniques and concepts through demos and training sessions
• Churn prevention analysis & recommendation
• Deliver user friendly dashboards bespoke for Executives & Department Heads
• Produce performance summary reports at period end
• Proactive investigation and delivery of insight with regards to performance - highlighting trends, areas of opportunity & concern and alerting where action is required.
• Critical analysis of marketing campaigns to ascertain their effectiveness and profitability
• Post investment/ event analysis with regards to capital projects or operational changes


• Proficiency in Spotfire or a similar data visualisation tool (e.g. QlikView, Tableau) a significant benefit
• Proficiency in SQL and R a significant benefit
• Has ideally worked within the online/ mobile gaming sector and has experience in Customer Insight/ BI and related departments
• An analytical and inquisitive mind
• Understanding of Web Analytics to assess traffic sources and value vs. volume
• Understanding of Casino & Sportsbook KPIs, bonus costs & optimisation
• Friendly, collaborative approach to ensure relationships between finance and interactive casino/ sports operations and marketing teams are strengthened
• Track record of delivering BI that dramatically improves business results against challenging targets in often fast changing business environments
• Confident, inside-out understanding of present BI methodology best practice
• Ability to digest large amounts of data and translate into concise, user friendly and actionable insight.
• Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organisation
• Ability to make decisions, identify issues and solve problems efficiently
