Betting Jobs are working one of the largest online gaming companies who are looking to hire a new Product Owner Platform, who will lead the creation, development, prioritisation and delivery of all new developments items, change requests and bug fixes in conjunction with their Platform Provider, other Product Owners and any external partners or contractors.

Main responsibilities

Owning the end to end Platform development roadmap working directly with our stakeholders and other Product Owners to ensure all improvements are prioritised and completed according to business needs and are thoroughly tested before release

Drive a single development roadmap for all Platform based BAU small enhancements as well as prioritizing all medium and large items across all Brands by liaising with stakeholders, Bede Gaming and other Product Owners to ensure sign off of all critical steps in the delivery of enhancements

Be the first point of contact for all stakeholders for Platform related change requests, enhancements, new developments and bug fixes

Be the gate keeper for all new developments, enhancements and bug fixes for Bede Platform to ensure that all items raised have clear business value and their impact has been completely investigated and justified

Drive Rank priorities to ensure high value items are delivered through the Bede BFF Platform work and ensure that all items add maximum business value and meet with Rank’s high standard of delivery

Constantly collaborate with the Product Owner Web, Product Owner Mobile, Head of Business Change and Project Management to ensure that all items being delivered are aligned with each roadmap to deliver any dependencies in a seamless manner

Priositise the complete roadmap of work based on business needs, compliance concerns and profitability and be the ultimate decision maker on Sprint contents and focus for the Bede Platform Team and BFF backlog

Manage stakeholders to ensure readiness to hand over to development as well as report on progress or roadblocks for each ticket

Lead and directly manage a Business Analyst to ensure that they have gathered the correct information from the key stakeholders and that all development items are development ready for Sprint kick off

Lead and directly manage a Quality Assurance Analyst to ensure all items which are due for delivery meet the completed stakeholder requirements as set out by the business analyst to the highest standards of the business

Constantly communicating with Bede, the other Product owners and stakeholders to ensure any issues are resolved or communicated to the wider teams to meet feature release commitments

Develop, own and maintain the processes to support the full product development lifecycle and ensure alignment with other product owners

Source and deliver new software products to the business which will allow for reduced workloads and better management of services

Work across the business to ensure a clear understanding of product roadmaps and how these developments will impact current projects and development plans

Monitor competitors, understanding how they are leveraging mobile, web, Platform and Back Office functionality to deliver a best-in-class user experience; review how similar functionality could drive business performance

Knowledge and Expertise

2+ years in a Product development / owner role in an online environment essential; ideally gained within the online gaming industry

Bachelors/ Master’s degree in a business or technology discipline desirable

Considerable experience of taking the business lead in the development of requirements and delivery of high profile projects with complete knowledge of software development lifecycles

Understanding of all aspects of the Gaming platform, including: system configuration, reporting and bonus features

Proven track record of bringing about significant business improvement within ecommerce roles

Personal Qualities

Strong leadership skills, in particular the ability lead cross functional teams and inspire high performance from colleagues

Detail focused but able to see the “big picture” and maintain progress

Ability to come up with ideas/concepts and suggestions/improvements and follow these through to implementation.

Be tactful and persuasive, allowing you to manage stakeholders' expectations, and refuse requests when required.
