Betting Jobs are working with a well-established international betting and gaming operator, seeking an experienced IT Systems Engineer for their London office.
Essential Job Functions / Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Provides Level 2 support, Coordinates problem resolution among a variety of functional areas and provides subject matter expertise support for diagnosing and resolving problems
Acts as the technical liaison between other IT teams, engineers and stakeholders, providing critical operational insight to upcoming implementations and strategies, including validation of ongoing solutions supportability
Communicates events to stakeholders, IT teams, and leadership while also Developing new alerts and monitoring techniques based on requirements
Supports multiple systems or applications of medium to highly complex (complexity defined by size, technology used, and system feeds and interfaces) with multiple concurrent users, ensuring control, integrity, and accessibility.
Leads and coordinates enterprise base work initiatives and projects and facilitates training to Integration Operation Center and Developers on the new technologies.
Integrates solutions with other applications and platforms based on engineering requirements
Develops scripted solutions and automation
Performs routine maintenance and administration tasks for infrastructure systems such as backups, patch management, hot fixes, user account management, web servers, office systems and applications support
Works with Stakeholders on the requirements and provides recommendations for improvements.
Forecasts utilization patterns and identifies modifications or upgrades
Determines the required course of action to improve performance and escalates when appropriate
Develops, maintains, recommends, documents, and supports tools and back-end utilities to provide capacity planning management
Leads or provides technical direction for the planning, designing, and execution of testing efforts.
Ensures compliance with policies, procedures and standards
Investigate user problems, identify their source, determine possible solutions, test and implement solutions.
Manage small to medium sized projects according to agree upon budgets and schedules.
Maintain confidentiality with regard to the information being processed, stored or accessed by the network.
Responsible for IT asset and Inventory management
Responsible for the overall security scanning, reporting and documentation of the business

Experience working with backup technologies
Experience with incident ticketing systems, workstation management systems and desktop imaging (Knowledge of DFS, DNS, Active directory, System Center)
Knowledge of Networking and Internet protocols
Knowledge of VPN,LAN, WAN Technologies
Strong experience working with Unix, Linux, Windows 2008/2012/2016 server
Experience working with IIS/Apache Web server
Experience using automated monitoring and deployment tools
Experience working with UC platforms
Virtualization experience using Hyper-V, VM Ware
Knowledge of storage technologies ( HP 3PAR, Qsync or similar SAN, NAS )
Knowledge of ITIL and industry best practices
