A unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced Creative Director to join a Tier 1, multi brand operators based in Malta, in a key strategic role. The Creative Director will provide the creative team with guidance and ideas to build individual brands most efficiently. The role will spear head position and launch of new brands, construct concepts and strategies for individual markets as well as monitor and analyse performance of how they build brand awareness and brand love locally. The role will implement a creative vision based on the brand and become the point of reference for any creative plan towards the players. The goal is to achieve brand alignment through relevant player communication and drive a 1:1 user experience vision.

Responsibilities awaiting
• Conceiving and implementing concepts, guidelines and strategies in various creative projects and overseeing them to completion
• Collaborating with vertical/product owners to obtain knowledge of player preferences
• Directing and motivating teams of art director, designers, copywriters to boost their talents effectively
• Lead creative workshops, brainstorming to generate campaign concepts
• Write and design relevant and effective copy that meet brand and player preference
• Revise content and presentations, approve/reject ideas, provide feedback to the team
• Coach, train and guide junior designers and copywriters into accomplished professionals
• Analyse results of team output and improve actions based on findings
• Support the team management including meeting with and determine the team need for additional talent to cater to creative needs
• Convincingly pitch the team’s ideas internally to relevant stakeholders and management teams
• Ownership and learnings from both failure or success, the role take responsibility for the campaigns and improve by learning

Duties to own
• Accomplishes work requirements by orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching employees
• Meets work expectations by following production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards, resolving operational problems, identifying work process improvements
• Meets cost expectations by monitoring expenses, implementing cost-saving actions
• Determines production requirements by reviewing requirements/materials and information presented by product / project owners considering scheduling factors
• Determines production schedule by conferring with AD, designers, copywriters, and production department, outlining basic presentation concepts, coordinating creative development
• Determines project content by reviewing and approving art and copy materials developed by creative team
• Improves quality results by analysing, evaluating, and re-designing processes, recommending changes to art, copy, and production departments
• Develops marketing strategies by analysing project objectives, planning, scheduling, and completing design and production requirements for full communication plan
• Monitors marketing mix and results by coordinating tracking actions with sales and marketing representatives
• Revises marketing plan by analysing campaign results
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, participating in professional organizations
• Keeps stakeholders informed by compiling, analysing, and reporting marketing results, forwarding plan projections and updates
• Accomplishes marketing and organization objectives and mission by completing results as needed

Skills & Qualifications
• Creativity: Need a strong creative background, experience in copywriting, design, or art production. Previous experience showing proven visionary expertise and success with it is a must.
• Fearlessness: Should be able to fully commit to their strong ideas, as well as take the blame when a campaign does not go as planned
• Leadership: Need to be able to lead and inspire the members of creative teams
• Flexibility: Exercise flexibility, as travel and overtime are often required more times than not
• Communication: Work efficiently and effectively with stakeholders to produce the desired outcomes
• Market Knowledge: Know the ins and outs of the marketing world and advertising processes
• Technological Savviness: Technical fluency is highly valued

Requirements we look for
• Proven experience as a creative director or in a similar creative role
• Hand-on experience in creative process, marketing, graphic design and brand development
• Excellent working knowledge of software such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign etc.
• Outstanding leadership and organization skills
• Exemplary interpersonal and analytical abilities
• BSc/BA in advertising, fine art, design or relevant field; MSc/MA will be considered an asset
