BettingJobs.com are currently seeking a Subscription Sales Manager to maximise, grow and retain subscription revenues for a leading publication with a strong focus on the gaming industry. The Subscription service offers an unbeatable source of intelligence through its reports, news analysis, in depth articles, data dashboards and features as well as a full archive of publications and webinars.

The role will be new business focused as well as account management with a significant amount of time spent on building new customer relationships and accounts. You will be expected to self- source new business leads in addition to those supplied. You will also be managing a significant book of key account renewal business. The successful candidate is expected to develop relationships with key individuals and senior stakeholders within the industry as well as train and develop sales staff internally.

Responsibilities:

• Selling over the phone to existing and potential new clients to meet and exceed subscription sales revenue targets
• Develop and maintain existing relationships with all relevant decision makers within your client base
• Identify and maximise growth opportunities from your client base
• Generate new business from warm leads, event attendance and website usage
• Primarily work from leads that are provided by the Marketing Department, but also self-generated, both externally and internally by liaising with the Publisher, the Editorial team and the Advertising team on a regular basis
• Attending industry events and visiting clients will also be expected from time to time
• Keeping abreast of market and digital developments
• Monitoring and evaluation of all competitor activity
• Developing relationships and working closely with marketing, customer engagement and editorial
• Work closely with the Publisher, Editor and Marketing team in order to help develop
best practice and increase subscription sales
• Management and development of sales exec reporting to you with potential to grow
team based on performance
• Meet all KPI’s
Administration
• Ensuring and assisting accounts personnel in the timely payment of all customer
payments
• Ensuring that all leads trackers and CRM systems are up to date on a daily basis
• Ensure all reporting is done on time and eligibly

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years in digital subscription sales a must
• At least 1 year of management experience
• Demonstrable knowledge of the sales process (prospecting to close)
• Experienced in building close relationships with clients in order to manage and grow
existing relationships
• Use of CRM system (ideally Salesforce but not required)
• Demonstrates effective active listening and communication skills
• A hunger to reach and exceed targets and meet and exceed productivity targets
• Ability to negotiate and build rapport effectively
• Excellent customer service skills and customer focused
• Strong objection avoidance and objection handling skills
• Be able to build trust and credibility amongst our potential customer base.
• Ability to work on own initiative
• Demonstrate ability to take ownership of tasks and to problem-solve quickly
• Exceptional organisational & time management skills
• Assertive, confident, creative
• Ability to travel abroad as required
