BettingJobs is looking for a BI Manager to lead the BI team of a leading sports betting company in London. In this position, the successful applicant will be responsible for the delivery of insights, information and analytics solutions to the business's key stakeholders. This position is a good opportunity for someone with a couple of years experience in a similar position within a data driven environment, and who has a strong interest and understanding of sports betting.

Responsibilities:

• Increase the maturity of the business as a data driven company
- Be a champion for analysis and data across the business, educating the business about its capability and helping to identify use cases
- Promote data driven decision making in the company
- Ensure decision makers have the right data and insights to make informed decisions
- Establish vision and objectives together with the stakeholders across sportsbook operations

• Team leadership
- Growth, recruitment and day to day management of analysts and data scientists in London
- Coach and develop members of the BI team
- Set processes and praxis for the delivery of insights as well as canned reports
- Act as an escalation point of Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse priorities

• Drive continuous improvements in the ability to leverage data and analytics
- Improve the quality and reliability of our data assets
- Ensure the availability of needed data assets
- Propose improvements to our technology stack


Requirements:

• Experience in working closely with stakeholders, understanding their needs, and present insights and solutions in a pedagogical way
• Advanced knowledge of analytical technology stack, including data warehousing, reporting and big data
• Strong knowledge in SQL and statistical modelling with R or Python
• Experience from recruiting analysts and data scientists
• Strong existing network is meriting
• Quantitative degree from top university
• Vision to spot opportunities where data can make an impact
• Excellent analytical skills and a proven track record of driving change through business intelligence
• Excellent leadership, people management and communication skills
• Passion for big data technology and trends
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with both business and technical minded colleagues
• Genuine interest in sportsbetting and desire to understand the end user behaviour in the sportsbook product
• Ability to quickly grasp new concepts and tools
