Bettingjobs.com is currently looking for a Commercial Manager to join a Scottish Premiership football club based in Glasgow. In this position, the successful applicant will be responsible for sourcing new sales opportunities and closing sales to achieve quotas. This role will be crucial to increasing income and revenue by generating leads, qualifying prospects, managing and negotiating with clients, and closing sale of products. Working closely with other members of the club to set targets, the Commercial Manager will be involved in generating income and work across the organisation, and to manage the relationships with existing and new clients.

Working with the Board and Managing Director to develop a commercial strategy for the organisation, as well as developing the profile of the club.

Research and analysis of potential prospects
Use of existing sponsorship proposals and development of new sponsorship and partnership proposals
Generating and following up leads
Securing meetings and presenting the organisation and our offer in the most advantageous way
Working with the Managing Director to negotiate contracts
Identifying new commercial opportunities and developing benefits packages.
Managing relationship with existing and new sponsors/partners
Minimum 2 years proven new business sales experience in a "discretionary spend" market
Track record of over-achieving quota
Experience of Sales forecasting
Demonstrable sales approach and pipeline management method
Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
Self-motivated and driven
Strong understanding of the sports market
Credibility and presence to engage with customers at all levels up to C-suite
