Job Purpose

The purpose of this role is to get a local quality set of elements that will make our products, marketing and communications the appropriate local flavour in key markets. The role will have a focus on 3 main elements:

1. Market insights and opportunities
2. Media strategy and media buying
3. Market development projects

The outcome of the role is to provide the 3 main verticals with those projects and insights that will bring additional value that is hard to get from outside of the market. You will be an expert on local media landscape, buying the right media at the right prices, competing for best spots at best times, providing feedback to the verticals on a continuous basis and guiding the verticals on best possible approaches to the market. You will also work closely with business development to drive local market development opportunities that will then move to the business once implemented.

You will work closely with the MMD Director for the region, as well as with different stakeholders from different verticals; mainly with Brand Managers but also with Business Intelligence, FP&A, Campaigns Management and Business Development.

For the media strategy and media buying element of the role, you will adopt a more reactive attitude whereby you will receive a brief from a vertical or campaign manager for a particular campaign. The brief will contain concepts, timing, budget and deadlines and you will provide a strategy, plan with alternatives and recommendations for the market (including comments on the creative, seasonalities, CTAs, etc.). For the market insights and opportunities and market development projects, you will adopt a more proactive attitude where you will identify opportunities in the market and provide the business with formal reporting, presentations, recommendations and other insights as and when required.

Key Responsibilities
 Responsible for market ATL media management
 Responsible for presenting media strategy and plans to all verticals
 Management of relations with local media agencies
 Responsible for managing the budget allocated by the brands
 IPOs administration and budget spend reporting
 Opportunities to increase or save budget (TV optimisation)
 Responsible for negotiating TV slots for placing AFPs
 Identify new TV formats and TV opportunities (product placements, integrations, etc.)
 Responsible for media reporting on the market
 Responsible for TV campaign analysis, pre/post ROI and dynamic learning
 Identify market opportunities (sponsorships, partners, lobby, payments, etc.)
 Responsible for market analysis including tracking on competitors activity
 Responsible for providing verticals with market insights in terms of target behaviours, language differences, market trends, advertising trends, etc.
 Responsible for identifying potential co-branding opportunities
 Regular ongoing communication with Business Development team on market progress and opportunities
 Monitor market and industry developments on monthly basis
 Monitor localization of products and communications on a quarterly basis
Skills and Capabilities


 Fluency in both written and spoken English and German
 Previous media management experience in Germanic region
 Ideally 3 years’ experience in a similar position
 Ability and flexibility to work well under tight deadlines and multi-task
 Collaborative team player with the ability to foster good working relationships
 Proficient in preparing reports with competitor analysis
 Well organised with the ability to multi-task and prioritise various projects
 Excellent interpersonal skills when dealing with third party agencies and media owners
 Knowledge of or an interest in online poker, casino and sportsbook is an asset but not essential
