Senior Business Intelligence role – Isle of Man, Online Poker Business

Job Purpose

The Senior MicroStrategy Developer will be one of the key players in the Business Intelligence team. The successful candidate will be the lead development of MicroStrategy. The role requires a candidate with extensive hands-on experience of strategic data solutions in large organisations. The candidate must be capable of leading design and development tasks, managing the relationships with key stakeholders and acting as a strong advocate of both data-driven decision making in general and MicroStrategy in particular.

Key Responsibilities
• Lead the development of MicroStrategy client front end: data models, attributes and metrics on MicroStrategy Architect.
• Produce reports, graphs, dashboards, Intelligence Cubes, data-marts and visualisations.
• Stakeholder management
• Taking a leadership role in developing the technical and business relationships between the Data Warehouse team and key business customers
• Promoting the concept of data-driven decision making within PokerStars
• Developing a thorough understanding of the how the timely availability of accurate data influences business decision-making and company strategy.
• Closely cooperating with the DWH development team specifying the required updates on the DWH level

Skills and Capabilities

• Proven experience developing DWH in a large organisation.
• Hands-on experience in MicroStrategy development tools (version 10), using Desktop, Object Manager, Command Manager, etc.
• Excellent knowledge of SQL scripting with different DBMS, plus the ability to write complex queries in an efficient and accurate manner.
• Ability to translate user requirements into technical solutions.
• Constructive and collaborative attitude when dealing with both business and technical teams.
• Proven experience developing DWH in a large organisation.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• Experience in best practices for implementing Data Warehouse.
• Strong customer support and project management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Emphasis on the delivery of solutions with maximum interaction with Business Partners.
• Be a driven, energetic and proactive individual who has a desire to add value in all areas of responsibility.
