Purpose of the Job
The Senior Sportsbook Product Development Manager
role is to manage and direct the strategy and performance of the Sportsbook product. This includes being responsible for the acquisition, retention, operational management and implementing the strategic direction of Sportsbook. Define and develop Sportsbook technical strategy. Maximising content online for all customers. All aspects of promotion, selection, presentation, design, development and all other activities required to optimise Sportsbook. This includes driving the development of tools for acquisition, retention, marketing, customer communication and engagement. The sportsbook product manager sits at the intersection of business, technology and user experience and successful integrates the different aspects of the product in order to deliver a high performing, in-demand product that is profitable and provides a sustainable competitive advantage through continuous development and improvement.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
The position will involve the following areas of responsibility:

• Managing the P&L:
• Produce daily/weekly/monthly and quarterly reports with detailed analytics tied to development activities
• Optimise profitability through the delivery of product
• Track product development ROI

• Providing strategic direction for the product:
o Developing and implementing strategic objectives for the sportsbook product
o Roadmap development and delivery
o Ensuring alignment between product and business objectives and customer expectations
o Developing strategies for expanding market share through product innovation
o Alignment of online and mobile sportsbook product roadmaps to ensure a consistent user experience across different channels.
o Operate strategically, but deliver day to day value to the business as well
o Taking responsibility for feature prioritisation and scope management

• Market Analysis:
o Enabling competitor analysis including competitor strategy and product offerings to identify opportunities and threats to the business through the development teams.
o Supporting customer needs analysis.
o Analyse critical data to develop an in-depth understanding of the customer in order to drive product development strategy across the online and mobile channels
o Ensuring that the development teams remain up to date with the latest technology and technology trends

• Product analysis and reporting:
o Analysing product performance and usage through KPIs
o Trend analysis and reporting
o Define, manage and achieve all Sportsbook product KPIS as well as optimising and reporting on all promotional performance.
o Integrate data from different sources and provide summaries and recommendations
o Using analytics to identify inefficiencies in the current business model and implement solutions
o Lead all activities associated with the measurement, analysis
o Conduct product acceptance tests

• Stakeholder engagement:
o Documenting and presenting performance feedback to management and other business stakeholders
o Consult with key stakeholders to identify needs and opportunities

• Product Development and Innovation:
o Sponsor projects for new integrations and new product feature launches end to end from business requirements to launch
o Enable the development teams to create new innovative products and promotional ideas and recommend enhancements to existing products
o Evaluates multiple solutions and uses sound rationale to explain the value of the preferred solution.
o Thinks expansively and explores different lines of thought in order to see alternative ways to view or define problems or situations.
o Draws upon multiple and diverse sources for ideas and inspiration in order to target important areas for

• Managing customer experience:
o Taking responsibility for the customer experience in order to ensure customer longevity and commercial success
o Ensuring a consistent and exceptional customer experience across all platforms


• Communication:
o Communicating with all relevant parties on a regular basis via verbal and written mediums
o Communicate sportsbook and mobile product roadmaps and strategies around the business
o Engaging with customers and stakeholders on a regular basis

• Problem solving:
o Analytical and operational problem solving

• Aligning performance for success:
o Collaboratively establishes product development and release plans
o Collaboratively measures and publishes Product development vs Product roadmap in order to substantiate costs quarterly.
o Evaluates Product performance and publishes/presents KPI’s to the relevant stakeholders and development teams at least once per quarter.
o Collaboratively measures Product defect ratio per release and lost opportunity cost per release and presents these as part of the project KPI's

• Building strategic working relationships:
o Manage and develop relationships across multiple departments within the company
o Working together with different teams in order to develop and improve the Sportsbook product
o Develops and uses collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of work and strategic goals
