A world leading egaming company are currently looking to recruit an experienced IT Support Administrator

Primary Purpose:

Primarily supporting bespoke Linux based applications with at least 3 years’ experience in a commercial environment.

You will be responsible for application and server support, problem determination and deployment - with particular focus on proactive analysis, improving recovery time, refinement of monitoring and incident reduction, as well as implementing creative strategic solutions.

You will provide incident support upon escalation and drive problem resolution.

This role involves weekend and shift work as well as regular on-call rotation.

Your responsibilities:

Execute incident and problem management processes in order to meet agreed KPI's
Troubleshoot issues with applications and services
Deployment, upgrade and improvement of applications and services
Installation and configuration of servers and environments
Implementation of automation technologies to aid productivity
Enhancement of application and service monitoring
Creation and maintenance of technical documentation
Investigate and implement new technologies and new ideas
Support internal users and external parties
Your technical profile:

Commercial experience of Debian (preferred) or RHEL / CentOS
Strong experience of scripting languages, in particular Bash, but a working knowledge of Perl, Python, PHP, Ruby is beneficial
Working knowledge of Apache, Nginx, Squid, Varnish
Experience using Postgres or other database technologies
Previous use of monitoring tools such as Nagios, Munin, Zenoss, MRTG
Strong knowledge of Log Management and associated tools
Good experience of Configuration Management (e.g. Puppet, SaltStack)
Eagerness to work in a dynamic environment and take on new challenges
Proven competence in analysis, design, development, and testing solutions
Personal Attributes:

Able to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to work to tight deadlines and deliver to a high standard whilst under pressure
Evidence of strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish positive relationships with employees at all levels of the business

Experience of Virtualization Technologies (VMWare, HyperV, Citrix)
Background in networking with particular knowledge of Cisco and F5 technologies
Windows Server support experience
Knowledge of HP Hardware
A background in ITIL would be beneficial
Willing to travel to Offices outside the UK
Gaming & betting knowledge
