BettingJobs is working with a global B2B platform provider who are currently looking to add a Betting Product Owner to their team.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the betting products and driving their success in the market. Their expertise in the betting industry, coupled with their strong product owner background, will enable them to collaborate effectively with stakeholders and guide the engineering team in delivering cutting-edge software solutions that meet the unique needs of the betting domain.
Responsibilities:
• Product Vision: Develop and communicate a clear product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the betting domain, considering market trends, customer needs, and business goals.
• Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders, including business managers, customers, and subject matter experts, to gather and analyse requirements, translating them into actionable user stories and product backlogs.
• Agile Development: Guide the cross-functional engineering team through agile development processes, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of features and enhancements with incremental approach.
• Prioritisation: Prioritise and manage the product backlog, considering business value, technical feasibility, and customer impact, while balancing short-term and long-term goals.
• Stakeholder Management: Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs, address concerns, and communicate progress, fostering a collaborative environment for effective decision-making.
• User Experience: Advocate for exceptional user experience, working closely with designers and usability experts to deliver intuitive and engaging interfaces that meet customer expectations.
• Technical Collaboration: Collaborate closely with software engineers, data scientists, and other cross-functional team members to define technical requirements, provide clarifications, and ensure successful implementation.
• Product Launch: Lead the successful launch of new features and products, coordinating with marketing, sales, and support teams to ensure proper communication, training, and support materials are in place.
• Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate product performance, gather user feedback, and identify areas for improvement, iterating and evolving the product strategy to drive growth and customer satisfaction.
• Betting Industry Experience: Previous experience working directly in the betting industry or a strong understanding of the industry's dynamics, including knowledge of popular sports, types of bets, odds calculations, and regulatory requirements. This firsthand experience can provide valuable insights and help with the decision process when defining product requirements.
• Betting Industry Awareness: Stay up to date with the latest trends, technologies, and regulations in the betting industry, ensuring the products are competitive, compliant, and aligned with industry best practices.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role, ideally in the betting or gambling industry.
• Strong understanding of the betting industry, including knowledge of betting products, platforms, regulations, and industry trends.
• Familiarity with agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, and experience leading cross-functional teams in an agile development environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Ability to balance technical feasibility with business objectives, translating complex requirements into clear and actionable user stories.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
