BettingJobs are working with an expanding sports betting operator who are looking to hire talent to their Gibraltar-based team. They are currently looking to hire a Head of Design.

• Develops and consistently leverages a strategic understanding of the company brand and the environments it operates in to generate opportunities for sustained business growth
• Ensures the company adheres to the brand vision, positioning, strategy, visual brand identity system, Brand World, and design tool for regional brand articulation.
• Supports the Brand Director, creative and marketing teams to ensure that the quality of our brand design is maintained and consistent.
• Drives the business to continually raise the creative benchmark of the brand.
• Displays integrity, honesty, reliability, responsiveness and openness to be trusted by department colleagues, regional management and marketing teams
• Empowers the Senior Designers and Senior Copywriters to take ownership of the creative strategy behind their design work.
• Helps set the vision for the creative teams and helps shapes the teams through recruitment, development and training.
• Communicates at all levels with confidence and clarity, delivering the strategic brand message ‘in the room’ with confidence and charisma.
• Openly champions collaborative ways of working and cross department communication and engagement.
• Delivers strong strategic and creative presentations that influence results
• Asks the right questions, challenges when appropriate.
• Behaves as a brand mentor for the business and works with the Senior Designers to ensure consistent communication and alignment on brand/design guidelines and overall best practice.
• A source of inspiration for the creative teams which ultimately translates into game changing creative work and colleague satisfaction.
• Regularly reviews work with stakeholders to ensure alignment with both the brand and business strategy.
• Work with the Designers to ensure communication and alignment on Brand/Design guidelines.
• Works in close collaboration with the creative teams and our external agency partners to ensure alignment of the brand.

• Long and proven international industry experience
• Highly creative with passion for communication, advertising, and commercial art.
• A broad understanding of marketing design and layout.
• Strong knowledge of typography, photography, image manipulation, illustration and animation.
• The ability to generate a reliable supply of original ideas and visual concepts.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• The confidence to explain and support thinking, both internally and externally
• Work well as part of a team, with a range of people.
• A flexible approach and willingness to adapt ideas to the needs of clients
• A keen eye for visual details and accuracy
• Have the resilience to perform under pressure and deliver high-quality work to tight deadlines.
• A high-level IT skills in the industry standard art and design packages.
• A good awareness of digital media and evolving online platforms
• Have an innovative approach to the media and the ways in which advertising is carried.
• An interest in social and cultural trends and fashions.
• Needs to be adept at presenting their work in an inspiring way. This is particularly important when a project is a new creative pitch or campaign launch.
