Betting Jobs are working with an established sports betting data company who are based in London. They are looking to add to their technical team with this DevOps & Infrastructure Engineer role.


• Ensuring the 24/7 availability of systems, infrastructure, and real-time, low latency data services.
• Designing, building, and allocating compute resources as required by application, customer, and business demand.
• Operational management of our internal development toolsets and workflows.
• Enhancing and implementing redundancy and recovery procedures for our products and services.
• Optimising the automated deployment and packaging of software component and release processes.
• Monitoring and implementing backups and other processes to ensure data resiliency and integrity.
• Troubleshooting and fixing problems and owning issues through to resolution.
• As sports and customers are 24/7/365, out-of- hours work, including on-call rota hours are included as part of the role. Some business travel required to satellite offices.

Must have:

• A good working knowledge of Linux systems administration.
• Networking – understanding of basic concepts, routing, firewalls and DNS etc.
• Knowledge and experience of configuration management systems such as Puppet and Ansible.
• Skills in scripting with languages such as Python / Ruby / Perl.
• Confident working completely independently with a globally distributed remote team.

Nice to have:

• Experience managing Linux servers at scale – both virtual and bare metal.
• On the job experience of managing switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Skills in systems hardening measures and working on security controls.
• Strong knowledge of virtualisation and container concepts.
• Experience running Java and/or Scala based applications and systems.
• Experience and knowledge of working with Kubernetes.
