17158 are working with one of the world's largest and licensed iGaming operators who are looking for a Corporate Accountant to join their team, based in London, Malta or Curacao. You will be part-responsible for the monthly financial closing and review of accounts, responsible for finance projects, and responsible for QuickBooks including interfaces setup and management with primary objective to ensure proper checks and balances in various accounts and processes, by doing proper reviews and identifying risks and implementing appropriate controls to mitigate these.

Key Responsibilities:

● Own and prepare the monthly and yearly customer balances reconciliation
● Review the correct execution of the invoicing/AP process
● Review the correct execution of the intercompany service fee process
● Follow up on findings and communicate this to the accounting team for correction and process improvement
● Manage chart of accounts, account administration, user management and imports in QuickBooks or other future accounting software
● Top-line reporting and booking process, including Intercompany Service Fee & B2B
● Assist the Manager, Financial Services in preparing annual financial statements, and actively partaking in financial statement audits in terms of delivery and communication.
● Project coordinator for Group projects on Finance processes and Accounting system in particular

Essential Requirements:

● Qualified Accountant and holding relevant Degree (bachelors or higher) or equivalent accounting qualification (e.g. RA, CPA, ACCA)
● Project management training
● Microsoft Office in general, and Microsoft Excel and Word in particular
● Experience with Accounting Software/ERP is required
● Have an open mind and be positive
● Have a hands on approach and success in working in a team-based environment
● Be flexible, pro-active and pragmatic in approach to problem solving and implementation
● Fluent in English (written and spoken)
● Good communication and interpersonal skills

Knowledge & Experience:

● Knowledge of IFRS or related Reporting Standards
● 5 years + experience as a Financial Accountant or equivalent
● Experience as an auditor or internal auditor is an advantage
● Experience with Consolidations and large, complex groups is an advantage
● Project management experience
