Bettingjobs is working with a leading iGaming operator who are now seeking to expand the team with a Dutch speaking Responsible Gaming Officer. This role can be based from the London office or remote as a full time contractor within Europe.

Objective of Role

As the Responsible Gambling Officer you assist the Compliance Officer with the responsible gambling requirements in the Netherlands. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that our systems and that the player’s environment fulfils the responsible gambling standards. You ensure the protection of players who show signs and behaviours of problem gambling.

Specific Responsibilities include:
 Reporting to the Compliance Officer. You will work closely with the Dutch Compliance Team and the wider Responsible Gambling Team;
 Maintain a close relationship with responsible gambling stakeholders in the Netherlands, such as responsible gambling organizations, legal representative(s), and the experts.
 Communicating professionally and confidently with stakeholders including colleagues, VIP managers, Risk team, AML team and customer relations as part of the RG process;
 Set up a safe environment for the player in adherence to regulations, guidelines, policies and guidance notes outlined by the Kansspelautoriteit (the Netherlands Gambling Authority);
 Monitor customers to identify any concerns in relation to responsible gambling, and where necessary raising these concerns through the appropriate channels;
 Assess customer profiles that we think may be at risk of developing these issues;
 Analyse player behaviour and use data to help spot trends and limit potentially damaging behavior, and write reports on your findings.
 Contribute to the use of and which types of responsible gambling tools;
 Conducting detailed conversations by phone and e-mail with customers that show potential signs of gambling problems;
 Be the escalation point for Customer Service on matters concerning problematic behaviour from the players;
 Follow up and act upon scientific developments in the field of RG;
 Adhering to in-house processes and procedures
 Accurate input and maintenance of static data, such as legal entity name, address/contact details, type of business in relation to legal entity type, any linked parties to transactions.

General Compliance
 Provide additional support to the Compliance Officer and team where and when required.
 Participation in ad hoc and project work as required.

Technical knowledge:
 Familiarity of the Dutch responsible gambling regulations
 1-4 years proven experience within a Responsible Gambling role
 Experience in the UK gambling industry desirable
 Confident in using Google Sheets, Docs and Slides and/or similar Microsoft Office products

 Ability to work independently and manage own workload
 Analytical - you should be capable of assessing key customer information in a timely manner to effectively understand and act upon it
 Ability to to analyse data, make conclusions and write reports on findings.
 Ability to interact with stakeholders and colleagues in a professional, service-orientated manner.
 Creative, an “outside of the box” approach
Dutch and English language skills are essential
