Bettingjobs is working with a leading iGaming operator who is now seeking an experienced Content Specialist to take ownership of web and social media content management for the African market. This is a remote based position.

We are looking for a Content management specialist who will be responsible for managing various internet marketing activities, including Content (SEO and Social media) audits, strategies, campaign development, execution and “owned sites” optimisation. The candidate will be an analytical and a perceptive professional who is a skilled communicator and able to collaborate with various teams. Current knowledge of SEO and Social media practices and techniques is essential to this role. Your goal is to ensure that content is engaging, search-engine friendly and optimised to increase the company’s visibility, following and ranking.

Duties & Responsibilities
• Set and execute strategies to improve the organic rankings and search traffic
• Keep abreast of the latest SEO & Social media tools, techniques and integrated marketing trends
• Manage offsite and onsite optimisation projects and reports on performance
• Conduct keyword research to guide content teams
• Review and resolve technical SEO and Social media (Facebook & Instagram) issues
• Optimise website content, landing pages and paid search copy
• Direct off-page optimisation projects (e.g., link-building)
• Collect data and report on traffic and rankings
• Work with various marketing channels to optimise campaigns
• Manage and report on Ranking performance, and meet the reporting deadlines
• Monitor website performance and traffic, i.e. redirects, click rate and other KPI’s
• Deliver weekly, monthly and quarterly status and results presentations to internal and external teams
• Regularly evaluate quality of content, managing external content creation, editorial and strategy resources
• Identify new opportunities within existing accounts, partnering with the acquisitions team to aid in increasing revenue
• Chair technical meetings with developers and negotiate workable solutions with traceable documentation

• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills and the ability to adapt these in order to communicate effectively
• Must be business savvy and have excellent strategic thinking skills
• Ability to develop and maintain excellent relationships – internally, with the team and colleagues and externally with clients, media owners, partner agencies and the industry at large
• Ability to persuasively articulate strategy, rationale, and ideas
• Ability to negotiate and filter relevant information
• Must be analytical and have the ability to analyse data to pull out valuable insights
• Knowledge of many PC based admin and organisation programs like Word, Excel, Power Point
• Knowledge of Content management software like SEMrush Google Analytics and search metrics
• Self-learning skills – a desire to learn more of the trends shaping consumer behaviour and a desire to find a better or more effective answer to business problems
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, interpersonal, and project management skills
