As an AML Analyst you will be responsible for identifying high risk customers and undertaking CDD and EDD checks in line with the business’s predetermined approach. You will work to enhance and improve the methodology, and identity opportunities for technical automation of the checks where appropriate, enabling you to focus on the most challenging cases.
Never a boring day, you’ll be spending your time working with remote teams in a number of countries to support in performing reviews of customers and acquiring local market expertise. Reporting to the Head of Compliance, you will work closely to drive improvements and support in building knowledge of AML across the business.
This role will be vital in developing AML frameworks and delivering process improvements.
What you will be doing:
Review high risk customers and perform CDD and EDD checks as required
Review PEP screening results and undertake the necessary actions
Work with international teams to support in performing customer reviews by acquiring local market knowledge
Identify opportunities to automate processes, leaving you to focus on high-risk cases
Utilise information gained through undertaking customer reviews to drive recommendations on how the processes could be improved
Facilitate the review and submission of Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs)
What you need for this role:
Experience working in an AML focused role, preferably in a regulated sector such as banking or gaming
A background in AML and undertaking due diligence checks on customers
The ability to work proactively and independently
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Strong understanding of AML frameworks
Preferably hold a relevant professional qualification in AML
