This role will serve as a driving force behind the growth and scalability of our entire global portfolio, and the successful candidate will welcome working in a lean, performance-driven environment while maintaining a strong sense of team, collaboration and commercial focus.
A senior position tasked with pinpointing and analysing potential new market entries, and then overseeing the process of preparedness to launch, the Head of International Development will be highly engaged in the company’s long-term roadmap, but meanwhile agile enough to act on fresh opportunities on the fly.
A passionate and dynamic operator, you have your finger firmly on the pulse of the very latest international trends within betting and gaming – across regulated and unregulated territories – and possess a proven track record of launching established brands into new jurisdictions.
Beyond that, you have a thorough understanding of the fundamental operational components required to serve customers in multiple jurisdictions, and you know what it takes to turn opportunities into ROI-positive revenue streams that deliver against robust commercial KPIs.
You’re an experienced self-starter, who is driven by a hunger for value addition. You’re analytical and diligent, and your work is underpinned by a data-driven mindset and a ‘prove it’ ethos.
You are also a great relationship builder with solid negotiation skills. You are well connected in our industry and have a bulging black book of contacts that can serve to support our expansion ambitions.
Equally adept in tactical and strategic debates, you’ll be comfortable working in close collaboration with the executive team and board, providing insight and commercial context aligned with the company’s strategic vision.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
Ownership of our international expansion roadmap and market access timelines.
Analysis and board level presentation of new market opportunities, scoping out cost/benefit and feasibility across our core operational functions.
Work alongside project managers and business analysts to develop time-based roll out plans and internal communication briefings.
Explore JV and partnership opportunities in order to facilitate and optimize the commercial impact of our new markets.
Delivery of new market entries in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Detect product and content localisation needs to ensure suitability of our offering for new market entries.
Work closely with our Business Intelligence function to analyse historical market data and forecast new business performance.
Scope out product and platform requirements for new market entry.
Work closely with our legal and compliance team to guarantee licensing requirements are planned and executed for new market entries, in what is a complex and competitive regulatory space.
Pinpoint the payment provision and processing requirements for new markets, working closely with our payments team to drive solutions.
Skills & Experience:
A minimum of 5+ years’ exposure to betting and gaming and its global environment.
A minimum 3+ years’ track record of working in a senior position across multiple betting and gaming jurisdictions.
Experience working across multiple stakeholders, managers and teams.
Excellent communication skills in English.
Analytical skills to assess new market opportunities, potential JV deals and forecast and identify trends.
Strong presentation skills and ability to convey strategic plans across different levels of the organization.
Experience representing a well-established brand.
