BettingJobs is working with a rapid growth operator seeking to expand their San José team with the addition of a Sports Director.
As the Sports Director, you will be responsible for driving USA sports marketing by collaborating with teams to create compelling promotions, campaigns, and odds boosts that resonate with the audience and establish brand dominance.
The successful candidate will have 10+ years of experience in the sports betting industry, specializing in USA sports (NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB). You will also have collaborative experience with marketing, product, and trading teams.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a cutting-edge sports betting strategy for USA sports, positioning the company as a market leader by identifying trends, leveraging insights, and aligning with business goals.
- Drive USA sports marketing by collaborating with teams to create compelling promotions, campaigns, and odds boosts that resonate with the audience and establish brand dominance.
- Work closely with trading and product teams to align marketing efforts with offerings, influencing pricing, betting lines, and props to attract and retain customers.
- Enhance customer engagement and retention through innovative campaigns, superior user experiences, and value-driven promotions.
- Build and lead a high-performing sports marketing team, fostering innovation and cross-departmental collaboration.
- Manage KPIs such as customer acquisition, engagement, and Gross Gaming Revenue (GGR), analysing and optimizing campaign performance.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in the sports betting industry, specializing in USA sports (NFL, NBA, NHL, MLB).
- Proven track record in strategic and marketing leadership within sportsbooks.
- Expertise in USA sports marketing and capitalizing on key sporting moments.
- Deep understanding of USA sports betting customer behaviour and preferences.
- Collaborative experience with marketing, product, and trading teams.
- Strong leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills with an innovative mindset.
- Data-driven, results-oriented, and adept at managing and optimizing KPIs.
