    Head of People

    BettingJobs is working with a well established iGaming operator seeking to expand their remote based team with the addition of a Head of People based in USA.

    This role requires existing full right to work in the United States of America, no relocation or sponsorship option available.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement people strategies that align with the company’s goals and values.
    • Serve as a strategic advisor to the executive team on all people-related matters.
    • Mitigate legal risks by proactively addressing potential issues and providing counsel on complex employee relations matters.
    • Oversee employee contracts, terminations, and any legal disputes.
    • Develop and manage programs for employee development, performance management, and career progression.
    • Maintain a thorough understanding of the U.S. benefits system and ensure competitive and compliant benefits offerings.
    • Act as a true representative for the people, advocating for their needs and ensuring a supportive work environment.
    • Manage and support a remote workforce, implementing best practices for remote work.
    • Be flexible with working hours to accommodate employees across different time zones.

    Requirements

    • 5+ years in a senior HR and People focused roles with experince working in a remote based company.
    • Knowledge of USA employment compliance, benefits structures and wider state specific employee protection and dispute laws.
    • Passion for people and culture, with a focus on creating positive work environment
    • Hands on history working in a legal or compliance role, with knowledge of converting legislation into actionable internal policies.
    • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective people strategies.
    • Experience in a multi-location or group company setting is a plus.
