BettingJobs is thrilled to collaborate with our client, a prominent online bookmaker known for transforming the sports betting and gaming industry, in their search for a Head of Fraud & Payments Processing to join their team in Malta.

Responsibilities:

• Manage Fraud Investigation & Prevention and Payments Processing teams, including strategy and structure.
• Oversee operational resources for current and future Fraud and Payments teams.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
• Optimize the department budget by streamlining and automating processes.
• Conduct fraud risk assessments, monitor trends, and analyze emerging threats.
• Manage the integration of new payment methods and technologies.
• Ensure department functionality, even with limited resources.
• Review and simplify fraud and payments processes.
• Respond to fraud & risk management inquiries.
• Oversee end-to-end payment processing operations for accuracy and compliance.
• Collaborate with AML, Customer Service, and Compliance teams.
• Align tasks with business strategy to reduce operational overhead.
• Perform additional duties as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, IT, or related field; Master’s or certification in fraud prevention, payments, or compliance preferred.
• Managerial experience in Fraud/Risk/AML within iGaming.
• 5+ years in risk management, fraud investigation/operations, or similar roles.
• Strong skills in documentation, presentations, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
• Expertise in fraud prevention, payment systems, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong decision-making, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach.
• Experience with fraud/risk tools and ability to work independently.
• Reliable, with integrity and a proactive, hands-on approach.
