BettingJobs is working with a Regulated market casino and sportsbook operator who are looking for a Chief Operating Officer to join their team in Sofia.

The successful candidate will take full ownership of day-to-day business operations, with the mandate to scale and strengthen our business. They will lead a talented team across departments ensuring delivery of best-in-class player experiences and regulatory integrity.

Responsibilities:

• Set and execute strategic goals in line with company objectives, including growth, customer acquisition, and market positioning.
• Oversee and optimise business operations across all departments, ensuring high performance, compliance, and efficiency.
• Build, mentor, and grow a strong cross-functional team, cultivating a high-performance culture.
• Ensure full alignment with local market regulations and licensing requirements, maintaining our reputation as a compliant and trusted operator.
• Work closely with marketing and VIP teams to identify new growth opportunities, optimise retention and conversion, and boost revenues.
• Collaborate with shareholders and board members to report on business performance, risks, and strategic priorities.

Requirements:

• Proven senior leadership experience in a regulated casino and/or sportsbook environment.
• Track record of success in scaling teams, managing cross-functional operations, and delivering commercial growth.
• Deep understanding of local regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
• Strong commercial acumen with a hands-on mindset and willingness to roll up your sleeves when needed.
• Experience managing teams across compliance, finance, marketing, CS, and product.
• Ability to inspire and lead teams through change and rapid growth.
• Must be Sofia-based or willing to relocate; this is an office-based leadership role
