2025 has been an exceptional year for BettingJobs, marked by significant achievements, industry recognition, and exciting new initiatives. Here’s a look back at some of the standout milestones that made this year truly unforgettable.


1. Winning the EGR Award for Recruiter of the Year

One of our standout moments of 2025 was receiving the prestigious EGR Global Award for ‘Recruiter of the Year’. This recognition reflects the dedication and expertise of our team, as well as our long-standing commitment to supporting both candidates and clients. For more than 22 years, we have focused on connecting exceptional talent with leading companies across the betting and gaming industry, and this award is a very welcomed acknowledgement of that work.


2. Launching and Hosting Two AYE Gaming Meetups

In 2025, BettingJobs CEO Jennifer Innes, together with TAG Media’s Managing Director Elaine Gardiner, took a proactive role in strengthening industry connections in Scotland by launching and hosting two AyeGaming Meetups. The events brought together more than 60 fellow Scottish industry professionals for memorable evenings of networking, knowledge sharing, and collaborative discussions about the future of betting and gaming. This is an achievement that Jennifer, Elaine, and the entire BettingJobs team are truly proud of, and we look forward to seeing the AyeGaming community continue to grow and thrive as we head into 2026.


3. Our CEO Jennifer Innes Recognised Among IGB’s Most Influential Women of the Year

We were proud to celebrate our CEO, Jennifer Innes, being named as one of iGamingBusiness’s Most Influential Women of the Year. This recognition highlights Jennifer’s leadership, vision, and the impact she has had on the betting and gaming industry since joining BettingJobs over 18 years ago, initially as its only female team member.

This acknowledgement also reflects Jennifer’s dedication to driving innovation, nurturing talent, and shaping the future of the sector as a woman in a traditionally male dominated field.


4. Launching our New Website

Our team worked diligently behind the scenes to create and launch a brand-new website which just launched in December, with a focus on improving the experience for both job seekers and employers. Our revamped platform offers clearer navigation, a more user-friendly layout, and a range of resources to support careers and recruitment within the iGaming industry.


5. Working with our widest and most extensive client list to date

At BettingJobs, we take pride in partnering with the widest range of clients, spanning over 90 countries across six continents. In 2025, we were excited to work with our largest and most diverse group of clients to date, reflecting the global reach, demand for, and impact of our services.

This year, we were pleased to see many of our clients successfully expand beyond their regions, with BettingJobs playing an integral role in supporting their international growth. Drawing on our in-depth market knowledge, we guide clients through the complexities of global recruitment, helping them connect with the right talent and navigate new markets with confidence.


Earlier this year, we were thrilled to announce that we became the first exclusive sponsors of the Diary of An iGaming Executive podcast, hosted by Robin Hutchison, Chief Operating Officer at Square in the Air. Throughout 2025, the Diary of An iGaming Executive podcast has featured an impressive lineup of guests, including Karolina Pelc, Manuel Stan, James King, Grainne Hurst, Gavin Hamilton, Michael Brady, Mike de Graaff, Dr. Andreas Koeberl, Lee McFarland, and Ramiro Atucha, who have shared their insights, experiences, and life stories with thousands of monthly listeners across the industry.


7.  International Presence

This year has been our biggest yet in expanding our international presence. We exhibited at major conferences around the globe, including ICE Barcelona, SiGMA World Eurasia, iGamingBusiness London, SBC Lisbon, and SiGMA World Rome, making for a truly jam-packed international conference schedule.

In addition, we embarked on numerous global trips to meet our valued clients and partners across the industry from the UAE to Gibraltar, and, of course, Malta. These experiences have reinforced just how global our reach is.

As we look ahead to 2026, we are excited to continue nurturing these international relationships, kicking off the year with a bang as we return to exhibit at ICE Barcelona in January.


8. Growing Our LinkedIn Community to 340K+ Followers

In 2025, our LinkedIn presence reached an exciting milestone, surpassing 345,000+ followers. This growth reflects our continued commitment to sharing valuable insights, industry updates, and career opportunities with our global community.


9. Analysing our key data and recruitment trends

Each year, BettingJobs produces in-depth reports on our key hiring trends and data. This year, our analysis revealed encouraging statistics that point to a promising 2026. Some of the standout points we discovered were:

An increase in MENA (Middle East North Africa) Placements: When looking at our overall placement data, it’s clear that the MENA region, particularly the UAE, is now one of our strongest placement locations. As we continue to expand and strengthen our partnerships across the Middle East, we’re seeing a surge in candidates eager to build exciting iGaming careers in the region. At the same time, more clients are looking to hire locally, driven by easing regulations and a promising outlook for the industry’s future.

A decrease in the number of fully remote placements At BettingJobs, we’ve observed a year-on-year decline in the number of remote placements made, as many of our clients are now prioritising hybrid or on-site setups in a post-COVID landscape. Additionally, as noted earlier, an increasing number of clients have focused their efforts on expanding into markets outside their regions, which further explains the reduction in remote placements compared to last year. This shift highlights a growing emphasis on collaboration and innovation in an increasingly competitive market.


10. Team-Building Days Out

2025 wasn’t just about awards, growth, and industry recognition at BettingJobs; it was also a year of memorable team-building experiences. Our team enjoyed a variety of fun and engaging outings designed to strengthen collaboration, celebrate successes, and simply have a great time together. Highlights included golfing at world-class courses, where team members enjoyed some friendly competition, exciting days out at the races, and other creative activities designed to foster teamwork. These experiences not only brought our team closer together, but also reinforced the positive, dynamic culture that makes BettingJobs a special place to work.
