May Day, also known as Workers' Day, is celebrated each year on the 1st of May. The holiday honours the achievements of workers as well as recognising the ongoing struggles they face. May Day is a public holiday celebrated in many countries worldwide, particularly those within Europe.
To commemorate the day, we spoke with members of the BettingJobs team to hear what they got up to on their May Day weekend!
CEO Jennifer Innes spent her May Day weekend with family in Paris, watching football legends Kylian Mbappé and Lionel Messi play for PSG at the cities iconic Le Parc des Princes.
Administration & Operations Co-Ordinator Rebecca Jackson enjoyed watching her national team (Ireland) vs Scotland at the women’s Six Nations, held at the DAM Health Stadium in Edinburgh. Although Scotland defeated Ireland with a 36-10 win, Rebecca said it was still a great day out for all involved.
